The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies towards the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering expert services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it is alarmed about the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area regularly. The service issue developed for intervention experiences a superior inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it tricky to the office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more resources to enable the servicing of all clients and boost use of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
